U zaštićenom parku prirode “Tivatska Solila” u februaru je zvanično otvorena ornitološka staza. Upravo zbog toga smo u martu otišli da ponovo posjetimo ovo mjesto. Ova lokalna atrakcija grada Tivta je oaza netaknute prirode koja pruža utočište veoma rijetkim vrstama ptica – flamingosima i kormoranima, koje ujedno spadaju u najugroženije ptice u Evropi.

Na žalost, došli smo u doba kada ptica ima veoma malo, ali važno je da znamo da ovako nešto postoji i da se lako do njega može doći opet. A nismo zažalili što smo došli jer je pogled, i prema Lovćenu, i prema Orjenu, bio izvanredan.

Solila, a famous birdwatching site

An ornithological trail was opened in February in the coastal saltmarsh Solila near the city of Tivat. This is the reason why we visited the site in March.

This local attraction of the city of Tivat is an oasis of untouched nature that provides shelter for very rare species of birds – flamingos and cormorants, which also belong to the most endangered birds in Europe.

There are three major resting areas of migratory birds at the Adriatic Sea in Montenegro. Firstly, the old salt-mine in Tivat (Solila Tivat), then the Buljarica Bay near Petrovac with its wide areas of reed and lastly the Bojana Delta with the sandy beach “Velika Plaza” and the salt-mine Ulcinj.
